Gateway Church is affiliated with GriefShare "A Gathering Place," a bereavement and educational resource ministry offering group support by trained counselors and volunteer staff for individuals and families who are grieving the loss of a spouse, child, family member or friend. Our mission is to help people cope with loss, support their healing, and nurture their physical, spiritual and emotional well-being through support groups & Bible based counsel and education.
Grief involves a process whereby the bereaved person progresses through identified stages of grief & mourning towards grief resolution. GriefShare counselors & staff present a Biblical perspective in their approach to the grieving process where the central focus for healing is on the personhood of Jesus Christ who is The Great Physician. He alone can heal the broken hearted experiencing grief due to the loss of a loved one.
