Will you sponsor a child today?

Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.
— 1 John 3:18

WHAT DOES SPONSORSHIP INCLUDE?

The child or children you will sponsor live in the mountainous community of San Ildefonso Ixtahuacan, home to approximately 4,000 residents. Typical houses are constructed of tile floors, wood walls and cement roofs. The primary ethnic group is Mam and Spanish is the most commonly spoken language.
The regional diet consists of maize, beans, bananas, chicken, bread, beef, rice and potatoes. Common health problems in this area include dental decay, colds and amoeba infections. Most adults in San Ildefonso Ixtahuacan work as day laborers and earn the equivalent of $108 per month. This community needs secondary schools, scholastic materials and more economic resources.

Your sponsorship allows the staff of Colegio Emanuel School to provide your sponsored child with Bible teaching, medical checkups, workshops on health and hygiene, recreational activities and computer classes. In addition, non-schooled children receive sewing classes. The center staff will also provide Bible teaching and meetings for the parents or guardians of your sponsored child.
